When it came time to refresh the website, We were keen to update them to wordpress, add some news feeds and update the portfolio. Really show off how great this award winning Central Coast Builder really is.

QCD Workshop

We’ve been working with Qcdboards and with one of the worlds leading bodyboard Shapers, our good friend Todd Quigley for years. Over this time, between Todd & ourselves we have had a blast working on all kinds of advertising. from underwater shoots, to studio sets and everything in-between.

Coming into the 2010 Summer season, between us, we really wanted to create some extra special and truly meaningful advertising for the brand. We wanted to really explain to the customer what QCDboards was all about.

We came up with the idea of letting customers fully understand what the process of custom bodyboard shaping is all about. to really bring the customer into the Workshop – To educate everyone in a cool way about the difference between skilled custom shaping and computer cut factory production.

This idea grew into ‘The Workshop’

The Workshop is an ongoing live campaign with advertising & video episodes on all the elements of Custom bodyboard shaping.
What started as a small idea over 12 months ago has spawned into 5 episodes so far with plenty more to come.

Dylan Surfboards

It’s been a blast working with Dylan. Not only is he one of the most fearless watermen on the planet, he’s also one of the nicest guys to work with. Over the last few years we’ve had the pleasure of building his brand and working through his Board Catalogue release in 2010. Continuing on through 2011, Dylan has been riding the biggest mountains of water on the earth and shaping amazing boards. He’s explosive – theres no doubting that!. We wanted the advertising & his new ‘Dylan’ wordmark to reflect that. BOLD, BIG and FEARLESS.

The treatments below were applied in Signage, Instore POS & Advertising throughout Australia & Indonesia.

This time, for the new range of decks at ESS, Mark & the fellas let us go for it. “anything you want” was the call – We’ve been heavily influenced lately by old signage and classic vintage. clean & authentic.

When Re-setting the Studio for 2011 – a fresh start for the studio included getting some of our cool client work onto the walls. Heres a small selection of the growing collection. We have a tonne of other cool jobs we’ve done, this is just a snippet. hope you like…

QCD Website V4.0

For the fourth iteration of the QCDBoards website, we finally implemented a side scrolling, custom themed CMS solution that the client can use daily. Although we all agree the final result looks fantastic, we’re not advocating that everyone rush into side scrolling designs… it took a fair bit of experimentation to arrive at this solution without breaking it… take a gander.

One of the worlds most talented Bodyboarders just happens to be a close friend of ours. Mitch came to us to help create his personal identity. Inspired by flight, action, forward motion and the future, The end result represents everything he’s about. You can also make out a hidden m & r in the logo, which is kinda cool.

Fun Run

The Central Coast’s Bay to Bay 12km fun run is the biggest race on the Coast. With numbers over 1000 this year, It has turned into one of the funnest events to be a part of each year. At Invert, we’ve been lucky enough to be asked to help develop the Bay to Bay identity and create several pieces of advertising for the event over the last few years. Here is the design & colourways for 2010.

In working for the IBA we continually get the chance to create ideas with little restriction on the aesthetic – giving us a chance to stretch our creative wings. the European Leg of the 2010 IBA World Tour presented another such opportunity… Being the most lucrative leg of the IBA World Tour, the IBA wanted to promote the events close together as a series within a series so to speak. here is the end result.
